The Antique Cream Separator Gallery

How many cream separators do you own?

We just have the 1927-1928 De Laval Golden Anniversary #12 Cream Separator

How long have you owned cream separators?

Not long enough to have actually used it....when we bought it, it was in overall good condition: nothing was seized up, it came with all of the parts and accessories except it was missing it's pail shelves but we have since replaced one of them. We understand that the pail shelves are not a must-have but since the seller only wanted 20.00 we couldn't resist making our separator as close to original as possible....but anyways... the separator did have oxidation like most do inside the milk supply can, the bowl assembly, as well the other parts related to where the milk will actually come in contact with them. So far we got approx 90% of the parts polished and cleaned and so shouldn't be much longer before we try it for the first time...can't wait!

Any additional information about your interest in separators?

We don't collect cream separators but bought ours to actually use for making cheeses, soaps, and whatever else we come across that goat's milk would benefit our household.
